*** PLEASE READ THE README FILE FIRST! ***

We will be publishing an open bug database shortly.  In the meantime, please
focus on an initial installation only.  I recommend that you start your
testing with just the default Administrator account (no password) that is
configured upon Windows installation.  We are aware that there are many bugs,
but rest assured that the majority are already tracked and in the process of
being fixed.  We decided the time was right for involving the users in the
ongoing testing effort, hence the Beta program.  I expect that we will have
a bug database published sometime on Wednesday of this week.

Some final notes:

1. The Beta does not require a license yet, but expires on March 1st at 12AM
  local time

2. While Windows XP will work to some capacity, we will not be addressing
  XP-specific bugs for at least a few weeks.  Our focus now is strictly
  on Windows 2000 Professional.  You are free to run XP on Win4Lin Pro if
  you wish, but please do not expect XP-specific fixes any time soon.

3. Please do not report any bugs until after the bug database is published.
  You will receive a follow-up email when it is available.

The published list of open bugs in the Win4Lin Pro 6 Beta bug database
is now available from here:

Many of you will notice the 24-bit color bug, which probably explains some
display distortion you are having.

Bugs with severity 'critical' and priority 'high' will be fixed before the
GA release.  Other bugs will likely be fixed with update releases.

Note that this list will grow a bit in the next few days.  If you are reporting
a bug, please check the list first to make sure it is not already reported.
