用的苦闷

我机器赛阳2 700M 256M sdram 装了rh 3.0企业版up4 用起来一卡一卡的，尤其在上网的时候，慢的很，读写磁盘频繁，读一次磁盘，就卡一下，不知道我这是配置低的问题吗

配置不低, at least, it is much better than my PII350+192MB SDRAM running Debian. You hard disk drive speed could be the bottle neck. Adding more RAM, reducing unnecessary daemons and fine tune your hard disk drive with hdparm should help.

hdparm -d1 /dev/xxx

You can better tune your hard disk drive with:

hdparm -c1 -d1 -u1 -m16 -a1024 -X69 /dev/xxx

-X69 opens ATA100, if it does not work for you, try -X68, it opens ATA66. If it still not work, use -X66 for ATA33.
