How to Input chinese when i chose English as the default language ???

I select Language English in the Login Panel (Select Language)
so when i enter fc3, the default language is English.....
but i can't input chines without change System Language to Chinese.
How to solve it ???

I have just given a solution.
use en_US.UTF-8 with SCIM-1.0.2 XIM (with gtk2 immodule disabled)

In fact both fcitx and scim don't care about your UI langauge only if you setup a utf8 locale.
