I have just finished my BLFS under the exact instruction of "BLFS 5.1", now I have a fast box running XFree86 4.4 and xfce. Since not having fcitx intalled now, sorry for using English here.It seems everything works perfect, but I can't change my desktop.I have read the help files shipped with xfce, but the instructions it gives didn't work.Now it's still the ugly grey look from the XFree86's window manager. Has anyone encounter this problem? Would you be generous to give me your solution to this ? However, thanks in advance.

Below is my ~/.xinitrc to show which part of xfce I am running.

==============================================================
xfce-mcs-manager
xfwm4 --daemon
xftaskbar4 &
xfdesktop &
exec xfce4-panel

I think that's not the problem.

Also, thanks a lot.

I have using "ps -ax" to display all the processes under a xterm, and the returned result suggests that the processs of "xftaskbar4" and "xfdesktop" are disfunctioned. Maybe that's the problem. Any further suggests are welcomed here.
